Everybody’s perception of traveling means you spend a lot of money. The best way to be a smart traveler is staying with a family member or friend and use public transportation while there. We stayed with friends in New Jersey which is about a quick 20 min train ride to NYC.

We had an amazing view of the city right in our living space. We were able to cook breakfast every morning, had access to the gym, and laundry when needed. I think this was one of the highlights to our amazing getaway trip!
