Brady Stringer’s day job may be Managing Member and CEO of QSG International, LLC (a firm that provides strategic and operational consulting services to government; colleges and universities; and non-profit organizations); equally impressive, and perhaps better known for, is his gift as an extraordinary cook. His column will display and present his amazing “Cooked from Scratch Dishes.”
Quoting one of his many longtime friends (KRD): “I’ve eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the world; however, I have never enjoyed any of them as much as an evening at Brady’s table!” Brady has been recognized by the Atlanta Journal Constitution news, the Atlanta community, family and friends for his outstanding culinary craft. Cooking is his hobby and true passion.
Brady, the youngest of seven children, grew up in Troy, Alabama and now makes Atlanta, Georgia home. He learned to cook from his Mother, Aunts and Grandmothers. Use of his five natural senses gives this Atlanta Man a very distinctive style. He says, “Cooking allows one to create something that can sensitize all five natural senses. You can hear the food sautéing, you can smell the aroma, and you can touch and feel the different textures of food. Seeing the food once prepared is like viewing a piece of art. And if all of the ingredients work together, the taste should be like a symphony!”
Other diners have attested: “Over the years, his home has been converted into a mini-cooking library…. He is always presented with gifts of food processors, bread makers and other kitchen helpers, none of which he has ever used, preferring to use his hands, inspecting, chopping and feeling his food. He says it makes the food taste better, and I believe him.” If you are ever gifted with the experience of dining at his home, especially on Sunday afternoons, do not pass up the invitation — you will truly and wonderfully be blessed to share his exquisite and delectable (made from scratch) dishes — your palate will be glad you did!
